In my opinion this would be an amazing feature to have. My TV also changes audio output to HDMI on startup no matter what the configuration on both devices are.

The HDMI CEC beta test solved all these issues.

I have no idea why it was not included in the update.

Yes, very strange.
There is totally silence from @WiiM Support when I ask, even though this issue has been there from the start and was fixed in the beta test 2 months ago.

Maybe @RyanWithWiiM could ask why it's still not included when the fix was as expected in the beta?

Unfortunately even the latest beta version, now available for HDMI, don't include the fix that was implemented 2 months ago.

Looks like @WiiM Team has somehow totally missed there own firmware fix. Maybe a software control (GIT) issue?

Hey @hgo58, I connected with the team and they're still monitoring a few things for compatibility issues before releasing it fully. If everything goes well it should be coming out soon.

So how do that relate to the beta test version just released? It seems to just include a subset of the functionality that was tested a month ago.

The beta has some functionality that they're pretty confident in and they'll be working on a few other things as well. They'll keep on expanding on the capability as they do internal and external testing.

Ok. I still don't understand, as the code implemented a month ago worked exactly as it should.

Just don't hope they change that.
