Two Vibelinks with an Ultra

Hi,
I own a Vibelink, a WIIM Ultra, and a WIIM Amp Pro. I use the Pro for the office with two bookshelf speakers.
Now I wanted to test how it would work if I used the Pro as a second amp in the living room with the Vibelink and the Ultra, to see if the larger speakers would be better played with two amplifiers.
To do this, I used the wiring shown in the diagram. With the Pro, it only worked when it was switched from the RCA input to WiFi.
The sound was much fuller than playing the Ultra with just the Vibelink.
Now my question: would it work as shown in my diagram, with two Vibelink amps and the Ultra?
Thank you very much.

Are you trying to use the Vibelink’s as Monoblocks?

I don't see any advantage in this setup if you use one Vibelink for the left and one Vibelink for the right channel. The output power will be the same because it doesn't change the output power per channel. So 2x 120W with one Vibelink will be the same as 1x 120W from the first Vibelink plus 1x 120W from the second Vibelink.

Yes, only analog red to the first vibelink - analog left black go to second vibelink
I think you're answering how you described you would connect them if you were to get a 2nd vibelink.

You wrote that you have a (single) vibelink and thought it didn't sound as full as the amp pro.
I find the vibelink sound to be flat using analog input, but great using digital.
Have you tried the ultra optical out into the single vibelink? How does that sound?
tbh, like others here I can't see how using two vibelinks would be any better than using one.

Currently using a single Fosi Za3 with my ultra which was an experiment but so impressed I am going to add a 2nd to mono block them
Also just added a Fosi phono preamp to improve my vinyl listening 👍

Have you had a chance to compare the Wii Amp Vibelink with the Fosi? That would be interesting.
What I can tell you is with a single Za3 into a pair of Q acoustics 3030i I listen at 70-75db normally, 80+ when I have had to much beer
My ultra controls the volume and is usually set at 35 , most I have set it too is 55 then it’s to loud
Maybe a Vibelink owner can comment on levels as for sound quality that is usually subjective to the listener, but to my ears the Fosi is detailed but leans towards the warmer sound which is what I was looking for

ZA3s have very, very high gain (at maximum volume set on the non-bypassable volume control). Much higher gain than V3 Monos, and the V3 Monos have higher gain than VibeLink. That's the reason why you're getting such limited range on the volume control with ZA3. You'll get much more volume control granularity with VibeLink. VibeLink has (properly implemented) PFFB which also ensures consistent, neutral frequency response regardless of what speakers you attach to it, just like V3 Mono, and unlike ZA3, which lacks PFFB, so ZA3 will, "sound different," in the high frequencies depending on which speakers you attach to them due to the load-dependent frequency response. If you feel the ZA3 are warmer sounding with your speakers, it's probably true--and it's because with your speakers/load, it is rolling off some of the highs.

Not much roll off I can tell with my ears no and the volume is granular enough for my use
But as you mentioned my speakers may be a better match, atm I am happy with my setup but changes happen who knows what the future holds 😊

Nothing wrong at all with your setup. What matters is that it sounds right to you. When I was young, I couldn't stand overly bright presentations. Now that I'm 43, they don't bother me that much.

Yes I am sensitive to overly harsh treble and voices which is why I like a warmer sound
On another note it always surprises me when people say they cannot hear tv/movie dialogue, never had that issue
When Sonos enhances clarity for those people I had to turn treble down to -8
But we are all different I am 68 and still I am sensitive to higher frequencies
