This is unfortunately not correct! In the meantime, you can switch the WiiM Ultra to a non-TV mode (e.g., Line-In or another source) before putting it into standby mode. This will prevent the device from being automatically woken up by the TV.
Huh?cou mm d just power
That is what I have asked for in the manual use case. When changing to other input or put in standby the WiiM Ultra should force TV back to internal speakers. This was working before latest firmware update.@hgo58 I agree with you and I have sent a further message . I will keep you posted.
What I would like is to regain the control of my TV speakers when I put the Ultra into standby after using hdmi on the ultra. I hope this makes sense
I must admit I do get a bit confused with all the comings and goings around this. That is what I have asked for in the manual use case. When changing to other input or put in standby the WiiM Ultra should force TV back to internal speakers. This was working before latest firmware update.
In the automatic use case this should not happen as the TV should always output to ARC (unless changed by the user).
The use cases are not that complicated but @WiiM Team are getting it mixed up all the time.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but currently there is no function to automatically switch to HDMI (or not).... even when the function to switch to HDMI automatically is switched off.
From wiimCorrect me if I'm wrong, but currently there is no function to automatically switch to HDMI (or not).
It's Ronnie by the way.Peter, the only toggle switch I see in the current app version 3.2.3 on Android is called "Automatically output audio to WiiM when TV is on". This is not intended to control the input switching.
That's switched off tooThe other toggle switch is labelled "Auto-sensing of Optical in". This switch explicitly mentions the optical input only, but actually did control the behaviour for HDMI ARC and Optical in the past (with no way to enable just one or the other. HDMI would always take precedence over optical)
No problemUnfortunately, my posting was very misleading. What I meant to say is that there is no function to enable the automatic switch (or not). Sorry, I didn't proofread my post. We're all talking about the same thing.
Hi Ronnie, I hope you know how much I appreciate you being around. The White Knight of the forum, working in the darkest underground, the secret Zorro version of @Wiimer!It's Ronnie by the way.
So what does that switch do? I don't think it does anything for me.
Wiim are currently working on this.It was working fine for a long time.
As a workaround you could remove the hdmi cable and use an optical cable from your tv to the wiim but you will need to ensure the function 'Auto sensing of Optical in' is disabled. Not ideal but it works for me.Can I just turn on TV and listen it with my TV speakers,
