What's the optimal connection between the Ultra and Vibelink considering I'll use the Ultra for volume control? Analog/RCA or digital out to Vibelink? I thought I have read that analog into the Vibelink provides 100w/ch vs 60w/ch for digital inputs. I understand the Vibelink DAC is newer, but is it that much improved (and circuitry around the DAC) in the Vibelink to go for a digital input?
Thanks for any suggestions/opinions.

My question is not about the vibelink but if the amp pro has received the same efforts on the thermal management side ??

The casing of my Vibelink has so far reached temperatures of 36-37 degrees C after several hours of listening, so it’s not too bad. 🤔
That's what you call "runs very cool", indeed.

Besides, my question has been addressed from the beginning, more to the Wiim team, since Amp Ultra is not yet available.
I understand you worry about the additional heat sources in the WiiM Amp Ultra compared to the WiiM Vibelink Amp. I do not really understand why you assume that WiiM are completely clueless and didn't pay attention.

To me that sound a bit like seeking confirmation that the speaker jacks are really suited for 4 mm banana plugs, not 2.5 mm. WiiM did not officially state that this is really the case. So far, none of their amp products has ever failed to provide 4 mm jacks, but we must be careful, they might be trying to safe some space ...

... but how likely is that?

The product is different from the vibelink..integrates more things as you yourself expressed it...and as I pointed out...wiim had put forward on vibelink in their commercial proposal this point very precisely..and the approach at comparable power...
just that...
I was hoping for feedback from the wiim team, internal photo....etc

that s one of most importants things in this case..
