Upgraded power cord for those that care.

The switch-mode PSU inside doesn't care about the voltage coming in through the standard cable or an overpriced cable with twisted, silver plated conductors, a fancy sleeve and oversized connectors.

To buy decent interconnects with proper shielding, I can still understand.
Who defines "overpriced"?

My humble take on this: just like any other cable also power cables do matter (and a lot..), problem is that pretty much every brand, even the "luxury" ones, use to save up on factory power cables simply because if they put an expensive one the overall price would increase (sometimes substantially if we talk about a cheap product), this way they set the customer free to change the cable with a better one (in particular a cable that properly suits the customer's wallet). The only exception is represented by cheapish products that usually comes with unchangeable power cables

Q. for those who bought 3rd party power cords: Have you tried to install a couple of large ferrite beads on the original power cord? It would be nice to compare that with the 3rd party power cord.
