What are you listening to?

For very long times I've used "secret mixtures". Following nearly every new month another hyped ultimate trick out of magazines and the internet.
Since a few years now I use "L'Art du Son". (Nerd abbreviation LADS). 😉 No idea if it is available the US. Saved even all my once "wet driven" records. And for an antistatic effect I didn't found better.
I have not heard of that one, sir. I did just make up a fresh bottle of my brew, lol. 75% distilled water, 25% isopropyl alcohol (99%) and about 1/2 dozen drops of Kodak Photo-Flo, as a cleaner then followed by a distilled water rinse and dry. Works quite well, for me anyway, ymmv.

@Brown Sound
What washing machine do you have? Your mixture was exact the one I used for so long. But instead of the Kodak stuff I've used simple rinse aid for our dishwasher 😉 Worked perfect for cleaning. But the antistatic effect of the ready to use LADS was simply better. (And you may know getting lazier by age.) No difference between Kodak or rinse aid. But I know this crazy records where nothing helped too..
Oooh, the fun, right? Oh, I repurposed a three cube pseudo IKEA shelf for the temporary hifi area. Now I have a proper place for LPs, eh? Oh, and have some replacement feet for the Denon on the way, she should be looking real sharp, after those come in.

And now for some light, happy stories from an earlier time...:ROFLMAO::LOL:😃🤪
JK, I picked this up at the westside Karma records in Indy yesterday, along with a few Johnny Winter LPs. I don't think he is going to do what they tell him, mmm...

What does Tidal have that Qobuz doesn’t?
For the most part, nothing. I do find stuff missing from one or the other, especially on older recordings, but not often. I may have a few LMS configuration questions for you later. I have an old mini PC that I blew out and installed Mint 21.2 Mate on. Planning a small music appliance with a database interface. The NAS drive connections in LMS are driving me nuts. I'll start a thread or jump in another LMS thread later. 😁

I assume you are trying to mount a NAS share via CIFS in fstab?

That was going to be in the next round of things. For now, I was just entering the path in various forms into the LMS box. The PC can already get to and play files from the NAS in Rhythmbox.

Daphile was going to be my next try, but that would kill my database interface idea. :(

Daphile will include the necessary SMBclient files that will let you do it easily via its web interface as will piCorePlayer.

On a normal Linux you need to mount the share before LMS can see it. Depending on the flavour of Linux you may be able to do it via Linux desktop but always via terminal. What flavour are you trying to use? And why? Perhaps start a different thread
