It cant be long before the 'digital' music/audio we store and stream will carry additional information apart from track info and album art etc .. maybe the artist's preferred 'EQ' settings or 'sound shape' could be added and your replay equipment would adjust automatically to artist's 'EQ' for each track. After all blu ray carries loads of additional info.
I read that this track/artist is 'alleged' to be Ai created .. what do you think ?

The will have their preferred EQ settings in the recording already. No change to today, though not done well in most cases, if at all desired.

but that studio EQ im guessing is applied to all playback equipment, im suggesting the meta data in the track would instruct your equipment, so you would have an 'artist suggested' setting for your equipment/scenario.

its optional in your equipments EQ/soundstage settings, just like now, you don't have to adjust the bass and treble knobs .. its your choice :ROFLMAO:
You sound as if this already existed🤣.
Anyhow, whenever I add new music to my library the first thing I do is sanitize the tags and fill in my own. Any such EQ stuff would consequently go down the drain anyway.

How would the Artist know what your equipment/scenario is. Isn't that what RoomFit is for?
we are talking 'sci fi' here so i dont have an exact answer, but the 'artist' would embed a sound profile based on set values guessing like 'dolby atmos' etc and your 'equipment' would decode and set those values perhaps with the aid of a 'roomfit' type adjustment.

kind of makes all the options and adjustments wiim give you a bit pointless .. you just need a on/off button and maybe volume .. (y)

As mentioned earlier the Artist's preferred sound profile is in the final mix. All you have to do is play it back on a calibrated system. That's where RoomFit comes in.

More or less … yes.
Though the WiiM settings have nothing to do with the tags.

but as i understand it some people ( not all ) strive to get a near 'studio' sound as natural as possible like the artist intended it to sound, yet we dont know what that was, roomfit i think is about adjusting the sound for minimal local accoustic distortions ..

A room with ideal room correction should get near to studio sound. What are local acoustic distortions?

im new to this modern 'hi fi' stuff, so you are saying roomfit makes adjustments to the EQ etc to replicate the original studio eviroment .. but which studio ?
i would say curtains sofas etc are local acoustic distortions

I doubt that would sell. Just give me a good remaster of that terrible release from the 60s and 70s. If it is good you don't need EQ.

the 'remaster' might include never before relesed studio info detailing the studio accoustics for accurate reproduction as part of my idea :)

** any wiim peeps here ? what do you think ?

Studios use room correction as well. If your room correction has the same target as that of the studio then the sound should be pretty close. Curtains and sofas and other furnishings tend to improve the sound. A totally empty room with no carpets would probably ring like a bell.
