What products you'd like to see WiiM produce?

a new mini "se" with improved dac (and adc), see a less jitter on its optical output, and a ram chip allowing to benefit from peq functionalities etc and substantially in the same price range "very general public" ... a more qualitative mini streamer ...
not necessarily "more" but better...

It was the first success of Wiim...in this niche surprisingly left quite empty by Google and the abandonment of Chromecast audio without follow-up etc.

after that remains the solution of a mini integrating a mini headphone dongle..

You’re asking them to produce better at same price. That maybe possible if mini being discontinued but even then a better parts would add to the cost.

It's a product that was developed about more of 3 years ago... it will be possible to develop something "better" now for a roughly comparable cost (taking inflation into account of course)...
after the choice of not doing it is something else...

after the pandemic the global goods went up and never went down to the pre pandemic. What used to be 100 dollars dac pre pandemic are now 150.

that's why I said considering inflation...just in the same price range...
just an offer quite comparable to the mini developed in 2021 updated ( from memory, marketed on the Chinese domestic market at the end of 2021)
(the withdrawal of the "pro" from the range seems quite inevitable (maybe already the case?))

I strongly suggest that most people will be using the built in DAC, and that it is the minority who are not using it.
Oh, that’s new information. When WiiM released the Pro, they said the reason that they didn’t upgrade the DAC in it vs the Mini was because most of their customers would connect the streamer to an external DAC anyway.

It's only a part of the population with external DAC..just the noisiest one.. ;-)
if you declare a mini with a dac quite comparable with the dacs that we find on the Chinese autonomous dacs in the price of "50-100 dollars" .... it will satisfy many ... on if the discourse distilled by somes, on highly popular websites, is to say that the differences are non-audible
;-)

I would think a lot of users of the mini already had an external DAC and carried on using it with the mini.

55dollars... dac +headphone
(for the technical quality...and I'll let you imagine the production cost when it leaves the Chinese factory... in rapport of the idee of mini with small headphone output and serious new generation dac)

I'd really like to see a WiiM surround sound processor and amp. Use the same form factor as the current products and WiiM Home app.
Possibly modular incorporating existing Amp for 5.1 sound. Simple and effective like the rest of the product line.

Wiim Streamer/Transport with no DAC and no Pre-Amp just really high end circuits and components for purely streaming and DSP/EQ
and a nice chassis like the Ultra has and a OLED-display.

well, you use an ultra towards a dac that you consider hdg..that's all

Sure but if one spend money and resources on only one type of functionality, that can be better served then doing the same for multiple functions.
Basically a more high end streamer for people already owning a good DAC and amp/pre/power.
Hey let me wish for one since I cant afford a HIFI Rose RS130 ! ;)

How about a WiiM Amp Pro, in a casing about 1” taller to allow for a bigger screen, and of course the return of AirPlay. :ROFLMAO:

I would certainly buy one, as would a few more forum members.:)
Airplay1 would be nice for lossless Apple Music. I swapped out my Mini for a Arylic S10+ (cd quality 16/44.1 streams) but the loss of an integrated eq is a miss.
