Looks perfect, but I would also like bigger space around the in/outputs so we dont need to buy a bunch of new cables
Most of that stuff is on ultra. If you don’t like the dac built on ultra you have flexibility to use its digital out that include toslink, coax and usb. Since airplay is not included you can use Bluetooth and get same lossy quality. Wiim want to simplify everything in one box and has the ability to bypass dac if you don’t like them.

I think it falls more in the line of EQ and room correction. Would be great to see an improved RC with convolution filters etc

A fully digital streamer amplifier, they call it PowerDAC, it is not analog class D. Examples are SMSL Q5 Pro, SMSL VMV A2 or Lyngdorf. It would be a product without competition.
Didn't you just name the competition?
There are very prominent critics who do not buy into the concept of digitally controlled class D amps, first and foremost Bruno Putzeys.
While Lyngdorf follow this concept, other companies owned by Peter Lyngdorf actively avoid it, in particular Purifi. I'm happy with my Lyngdorf, but this is tricky technology, to say the least.

Digital amplifiers are not class D amplifiers. That's different. It's probably not that hard, since SMSL and some manufacturers have done it for very little money and in a very small package. I've been using the Q5 Pro for a few years now, to which I connected the Wiim Pro Plus and used the RC. The sound quality is better than many class AB amplifiers from well-known and respected manufacturers.
Example: I used the Arcam SA10 for a few days. My digital SMSL Q5 Pro crushed the Arcam go in sound quality.

Oh yes, they absolutely are.
Please read some more and learn about how a "PowerDAC" really works. If there are two guys who really know it all about "digital amplifiers" then it's Lars Risbo and Bruno Putzeys. Risbo having worked for TI and having developed a number of amplifier designs there is also the designer behind the TACT Millennium (which became the Lyngdorf Millennium later on) has most recently concentrated on speaker driver development. Putzeys is the brain father of e.g. Eigentakt and Hypex amplifiers. There's more stuff on the Internet written Putzeys than by Risbo, so here are two of his articles for a start. I am writing in a simple way about amplifiers working on a digital signal from start to finish. The digital signal enters the amplifier, and the analog signal is created only on the filters on the speaker connectors.
There is no need to explain more. This is a message to Wiim, not for discussion. They should know what it is about.
I do not intend to discuss here, just make a report for Wiim.

Add something like LDAC to the list. Imo great as a secondary option giving some extra flexibility and more use case coverage.

It can be a choice: FDA integrated amplifier and mono power amplifiers. Eversolo is still an analog amplifier and there are many similar ones. There are many analog class D devices based on Hypex, Purifi etc. to choose from.
But if Wiim were completely digital FDA, it would be above the competition. It would not need a DAC, because it would be a DAC itself. Even Mini could be a good source with a preamplifier.
I am currently looking for such a used amplifier FDA, but it is very difficult, because people do not sell them. That says something. I've only seen one Sabaj A30a, but I don't like it.
If Wiim announces such a project, I do not buy an amplifier, I just wait for Wiim

... is plain wrong. Just to make sure that nobody gets confused and jumps to false conclusions. Fact: Digital amplifiers are class D amplifiers that cannot use feedback to improve their imperfections like class D amps with analogue input. I'm sure that WiiM know this
In case you change your mind later on: The articles I have linked to are by no means scientific. They are aimed at the typical hi-fi enthusiast and are mostly written in a popular style.
There are already streamers with the same Axign digital amplifier as the Sabaj A30a: Powernode edge , Marantz M1You can take an example from them, but the Wiim amplifier should be different from it.

Personally, I think the WiiM amp pro has higher specs than those streamers.
