As the TV no longer are sending sound to the WiiM it cannot sense the TV. And the WiiM devices do not switch back to previous input source unless auto sensing is on and there is a signal.

You will need to manually select TV as input again, just as you manually stopped the AirPlay.

I cannot ;) You will have to raise a ticket to Wiim via the Feedback option in the WiiM Home App.

Mine has automatically updated. Is this a new feature? I normally get notified when the update is ready to download. I got notified after it was installed. 🤷‍♂️

No, this is normal behaviour.
It really just depends on timing.

I think you are confusing when we individually receive an update. We receive updates at different times. I get that. But when an update is prompted on my app it asks if I want to update and install said update. Correct? In this case, that never happened. Firmware updated and installed without my consent. Is this normal behavior? Not for me.

Ok thank you.
The only thing I usual here is that your WiiM Amp updated automatically so quickly after the release of this firmware version.

Usually you do get notified (yes) and can decide to either perform the update or select "not now" (yes). Normally, the auto update will only happen if you postpone the manual update for some time.

I understand how some people don't like their devices updating automatically (while some others neither care nor notice). There might be cases though, when e.g. a new WiiM Home app version might really require a new firmware to operate properly or some serious bug needs fixing.

Do we know for sure that this has been the case here? No, we don't. :) Probably WiiM does. ;)

I rolled back to some previous beta firmware, hdmi auto switching is working now..

Thanks for the response. I’m usually always notified and prompted to install and download. (Like you mentioned.) But for some reason that wasn’t the case this time around. Yesterday morning the amp was on the previous firmware. When I came home from work, later that day, the firmware was downloaded and installed without my permission. That has never happened before.

Has happened to me multiple times on multiple devices over the past 2.5 years I've had wiim gear, so yes, it's normal.

That hasn’t been my experience at all with my amp. Why argue with me? This is where the ignore button would come handy. Be more productive.
