Well, I thought. And I went for the standard Ultra. Picked one up from Richer Sounds for the same price as Amazon, but with a 6 year guarantee. Amazed Richer Sounds are still going! Last thing I bought from them was a Sony MZ-R55 minidisc player. Anyone remember those?!

I'll upgrade the amplification side of things in due course.
Minidisc - bought one in Hong Kong.... Great little player 😃

I had been waiting for this event for a few weeks to buy an Amp Ultra and a Sub Pro, both are not discounted in the Netherlands.:(
Me too, weird that they excluded these from the BF sale in the EU, but not in the rest of the world...

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for the updates.
However, several of us in the EU are confused:

- WiiM’s official Black Friday announcement said “20% off across the whole range” (except WiiM Sound).
-️ In the promo picture, the Amp Ultra is clearly shown next to the discounted models.
-️ In the US, CA, and UK, the Amp Ultra is discounted, but in the EU, it’s the only main model missing from the sale.

This inconsistency feels more like a technical / SKU activation issue rather than an intentional exclusion, especially since you previously wrote that the Amp Ultra “should be included depending on country and color.”

Could you please confirm whether this is:
  1. A mistake / delay in activating the EU pricing ?
  2. A deliberate exclusion ?

Many of us have been waiting specifically for the Amp Ultra this week, and clarification would really help, especially since the communication suggested it would be part of the promotion...

Thanks a lot!

The official announcement does not say that, it says

enjoy 20% off selected WiiM products!

Also in the UK, the Amp Ultra is Not discounted, nor is the Sub Pro, or the Sound.

It does say
"WiiM Sound (our newest release) is not included in this promotion."
though, which implies that the Amp Ultra should be included.

No, I don't see that, and refer you to the following, paying particular attention to the words "selected WiiM products!".
Saying "selected WiiM products" than following it with "WiiM Sound (our newest release) is not included in this promotion." is confusing to say the least. Why even mention the WiiM sound if other products are also excluded?

I can't answer that, we'll have to see if @RyanWithWiiM has anything to say to clarify the situation.

You seem to be misreading and quoting things, these were the actual words used.
Sound isn't, Amp Ultra I believe is, though it might depend on country and color.

All people paying the original price are sponsoring BF and similar hoaxes. So the others have to show at least a bit of patience 😂. This discounts can not be claimed.

Hi all, to confirm and clarify (I'll update the original post too), the Amp Ultra and Sub Pro aren't being discounted in the EU, UK, and JP. I checked in with the team to confirm and they've only recently had stock in those regions for these products and aren't discounting them yet. Sorry for any confusion on this!

Thanks for clarifying the situation Ryan.

Thanks for clarification. That's too bad.
