Why have half of the "Enter standby mode in" times been removed in this version? The previous app version already included "15 minutes, 30 minutes, and 1 hour settings". This version has Removed "30 seconds, 2 minutes, and 5 minutes".

I currently use the 2 minutes option, and occasionally use the 5 minutes option, but would find the 15 minutes, 30 minutes, and 1 hour options to be unnecessarily long durations before entering standby mode.

Please reinstate the other durations that are currently still present for the Mini, Pro, and Pro Plus.

Strangely enough, my latest Android app shows it in WiiM amp. Maybe it's because I'm using beta firmware?

Have you tried rebooting your device?

My Amp is on Firmware Version: 5.0.615252, and I'm using the iOS, and iPadOS apps, and since updating to App Version: 2.9.7.24051116, these are the only options available.

Edit: Still the same after rebooting my Amp.

Just updated my app. 10 band peq is there with previously stored settings. I don't see any change in stand by settings on my Wiim pro with Android app.Screenshot_20240514-134812.png

5.0.615252
The pro has the firmware listed as beta and can opt out to go back to stable release but amp which is same version as yours has none. The latest versions on their beta program on their amp listed as 5.0.614351. Do we have much newer firmware?

WiiM posted just a day or so ago that we should expect new RC beta firmware in a matter of days addressing the concerns some have had with recent beta releases

Edit: see

As long as you don't select one of the new options your 2 minute standby will still work.
I still have an iPad with the previous version of WiiM Home app, and the full range of settings are still available there, so I will hold off updating that until the issue has hopefully been resolved.

Hi Team,

We have limited the WiiM Amp standby time to three options for the following reasons:

1. Most AVRs (Audio/Video Receivers) do not use shorter standby times, such as 5 minutes or less. We believe there is no significant need for a shorter standby time except for slightly lower power consumption. If you have a specific use case for a shorter standby period, please let us know.

2. With this change, we are also introducing a reset of the maximum volume to 50% when exiting standby mode. This change has been discussed in detail in this forum thread.

Thank you all for your comments!

The removal of standby times just seems like a pointless change to me. Nobody ever complained about too many options. The opening post claims that standby is both improved and enhanced, what are the enhancements? Removing options doesn't enhance it.

As I said, if you have a specific use case for a shorter standby period, please let us know. I can bring this back to our team for further evaluation.

I also explained above why we need to make this change - putting the limit of the maximal volume when exiting the standby mode. Thank you!

I fully agree, I can't see any logical reason why these options have been removed, it should be up to the Amp owner to decide which setting to use, and now that the the only two that I use have been removed, I'm not happy.
