Beta Features

1. Simultaneous Output (Beta): Supports Optical/Coaxial with Line Out for simultaneous playback. Enable it on the Audio Output page.
2. Stereo Pair (Beta): Simplifies stereo pair setup. Note: The current beta firmware has a known issue where the volume may not stay synchronized when devices are grouped as a stereo pair.

Device Settings

1. Device Screen: Adds per-input screen on/off settings.
2. Automatic Updates: Adds an option to delay automatic firmware updates (requires the upcoming firmware update).

NAS & Streaming

1. NAS Browsing: Optimizes NAS browsing cache to reduce outdated data.
2. Open Network Stream (iOS): Improves handling of spaces in imported Custom Radio file names.

Setup

1. OOBE: Improves OOBE guidance to help troubleshoot setup issues.
2. Permissions: Improves permission explanation pages.

I received an update on Android. First, I'll test simultaneous output.

First, thank you for the excellent new feature additions.

I've tested simultaneous output briefly, and it's functioning correctly so far. Below are the current issues and suggestions for future improvements.

- If setting the crossover for the subwoofer in Ultra, prevents the Line-out from playing full-range audio.

- Similarly, the EQ settings applied in Ultra are also applied to the Line-out.

- Audio is out of sync.
I connected the Mini and A10 to the Line-out. Due to DSP latency, the sound from these speakers is slightly delayed. (Audio synchronization did not work with the Mini.)

- A feature to mute only the digital output might be useful. This would enable switching between A/B/A+B speakers.


If delay compensation for the line-out and a full-range output (and EQ/RoomFit disable) option are added, I believe it could also be used as a stereo sub-out. I look forward to future developments.

tbh, I'd be surprised if it made its way down to the mini due to the lower spec cpu etc.

Not on my Pro Plus either. Maybe you need to select Optical or Coax first? Will try later.

This capability (concurrent digital and analog output) was only mentioned on the Ultra firmware release notes.
For now? Maybe other devices later.

I don't understand why you say Ultra vs Line Out. You mean Digital Out vs Line Out?
Anyhow what you describe as first was issues is exactly how I expected it to work. Exactly same audio to both outputs (one digital, one analogue). That is exactly what beta feature suggested it would do.
Why crossover freq cut , eq and other signal processing should not be applicable to one of them?

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean, where did I say that?

Simultaneous output only works via the digital outputs (optical or coaxial) and the line-out.

I updated WHA to version 3.5.2.....on both IOS and Android, but in neither of the two apps does the simultaneous exit appear.

On Ultra I'm not seeing

Me too... i can't see on screen settings, playback screen any settings to choose screen off per input...
@WiiM Support @WiiM Team , where is that setting suppose to be located ?

I updated WHA to version 3.5.2.....on both IOS and Android, but in neither of the two apps does the simultaneous exit appear.

We may need to update the device firmware. I couldn't find it either.
