My Android app has also been updated.

Am I the only one who finds that no matter which filter I choose, it all sounds the same? 😂

The reconstruction filter only affects very high frequency sound. Many of us have a hard time discerning actual differences at frequencies that high, and indeed many of us even can't hear that high frequency any more as we advance...in...wisdom.

This isn't what was described! 😂
I can't hear a "punchy, dynamic sound"..

I experimented with the different DAC filter types while watching TV and in the end I did mine set to "Linear Phase Fast Roll-Off Low Ripple" (before the descriptions were added) and just keep it that way. Music still sounds great, so I just set and forget this setting. :)

I wonder what’s driving WiiM to now offer options to turn off unused features - have they perhaps noticed they can cause CPU/memory issues that the current hardware might struggle with?
They explicitly say it's to reduce network load... I always prefer to have control over what to enable or not, as if I don't use it don't waste resources on it :)
