Ok. Hard to help you then, if you don't believe us.It's not the only track or tracks being produced in reverse

Have you tried playing the track I mention in comment #23 which is a left/ right channel check? Until you do that, we’re just going round in circlesIt's not the only track or tracks being produced in reverse
Don't trust AI. You will get the opposite answer by asking the question differently.I expect to hear it when streaming as it was mixed, lead guitar right channel.organ right channel .drums left channel acoustic guitar slightly left.
Well that's cleared it up.

I couldn't play the track through the WiiM.Dont get your knickers in a twist I made the mistake and it's sorted now. There was also contradictory information with Google. Also you wouldn't have known about the Brennan fix.Luckily they have a helpful Forum tooWe could have ascertained that the WiiM wasn’t at fault earlier if you had played the track I suggested yesterday. And clearly talk of Qobuz doing the same was a red herring.
I have Brennan Harddrive player.Thats linked to a Dac via optical . Apparently according to the Brennan Forum the optical connection on the Brennan is known to reverse the channel. There is a settings maintenance fix on the Brennan, which I did last night.Eric is now firmly on the left.On the most recent remix of the white album. Thanks for your timeThere must be something wrong with my set up.
I've just played the mono version from the 2009 Beatles in Mono box, and it doesn't sound like it's coming from either side to me.
The 1987 Stereo CD release has Eric on the left, though.

I have got something called a DIGI32 a hardware Squeezebox player from a few years back with Optical and COAX. The first incarnation which I have got was channel reversed but a firmware upgrade fixed it. Perhaps a more common occurrence in the digital domain than people might think.I think the tongue-in-cheek nature of your responses has been missed. It would appear that for some weird reason the optical output of the B2 unit in question “is channel-reversed compared to the analog output, so depending on which you are using, you need to use the L-R Swap menu function” in its maintenance menu. A very strange “feature” I’d say…
Not unless you have a Brennan player set to Mono no.Would that affect the panning from my mono CD?
Perhaps you should turn the sound upThere must be something wrong with my set up.

Yeah, just strange that it seems to be a config option on that unit. Why go to the hassle of including an entry in the maintenance menu rather than fixing it, unless they had a hardware issue on the PCB itself e.g. the analog outputs were soldered on wrong on a batch and it would have been too difficult or expensive to recall and fix them?I have got something called a DIGI32 a hardware Squeezebox player from a few years back with Optical and COAX. I have a B2 model which is now discontinued.Parts were becoming difficult to get.Now taken over by the B3.When I first got it there were regular software updates and bugs fixes. But now it's no longer a current model, they don't do many updates.I only found out there was a maintenance fix for this by checking with the Brennan Forum. Its not a perfect machine and it's always been a bit buggyYeah, just strange that it seems to be a config option on that unit.
