i'm just trying to see if there are any patterns here that we can try and replicate... just to be clear when you are referring to S/PDIF you mean toslink/optical and not coax (cos they're both technically S/PDIF - but obviously there is no coax in so...)

@noony's case starting a new application on the PC for audio then it fixes it??
have any of you tried to see what happens if you keep using the device in this "channel-swapped" state to see if the system randomly reverts to functioning normally again?

@D1N0 this is not isolated to optical in. it also occurs when streaming? in this case - with streaming - have you noticed this happen at particular times? (
@noony suggested when audio is paused for a moment) does it occur with all streaming services??
it seems really strange. i've been using optical out from many streaming sources and never once experienced this issue.
