You know Radio France is available as 280kbps HLS...
the full bouquets? 280k effective?
I don't have the means to verify this, but your comments surprise me a little... (I've also come across some lousy m3u8s in terms of compression, etc., but never the resolution you're referring to) if it could be verified, that would be nice
;-)
(on the other hand we even know that a general policy of the "round house" is going towards the worst quality side by trying to impose with delay the dab+ (88k max) and an approach via generalist app in m3u8 lousy but which is "sufficient for 96% of the contents")

I am pretty sure I told you a long time ago. The catch is it is available through the Radio France LMS plugin.

Thanks...
indeed, you told me about it...
I don't have LMS...
but what surprises me is that even after talking to engineers/managers* at their company, no one pointed out this resolution as being available.
I'm not a technician... but if there are ways to control actual speeds, I'm interested...
But hey, I might have to look into LMS... but just for my radio use...

(*They too are sorry for this lamentable evolution with its pathetic marketing of "digital quality" (massively compressed))

  1. Knob Volume Step: Adjust the volume step when rotating the knob (requires the upcoming app update).
This feature should be of interest to some Ultra owners now that the updated app is available. I have tested it, and it works well, but the wording in the app settings for "Knob Volume Step" could do with altering, as it refers to "Select the volume change per button press.", which is the same wording used for the equivalent feature in the Remote Settings.

I don't see that.

The "Quick Adjustment" work as I expected the knob to be from the start. That is good.

Looks like an iOS app issue, Android app is fine. You should submit a ticket etc etc ;)

I didn't see any difference between Fine and Quick, I still have to hit + over and over to raise the volume. unless something is not set right. I notice that I always have to touch the volume to get audio at first.

Are you confusing the Remote with the volume knob?

If you want to change the Remote steps, go to the Remote settings screen.

What is the point of the radio widget? I can't find any local stations and in popular stations I can find two stations I don't care for🤣

Greetings, mates.

I have a huge problem with the new update, since I installed it, it takes ages to play music from the sd card. Sometimes the playing stops for no reason, the app crashes continuously, searching for a song (takes several secons and even minutes). I already tested the sd card and it works perfectly. I need to get a fix to this or help to rollback to the previous firmwire. Thanks in advance.

Try power cycling your WiiM - first eject the sd drive under the three dot menu on the usb input page, remove it, then disconnect the WiiM from its power supply, leave it for half a minute and power back up again, insert the SD card and rescan.

I forgot to mention that the sd card is inside my mobile. At first, I thought it might be the sd card failing but it wasn't the case. I have a svs soundbase pro that works with the play-fi app. And it streams flawlessly from the same sd card. Also, when I play the files from the sd with foobar I have no problem.

Sorry, my wrong assumption that the SD card was attached to the Ultra’s USB port. I’d still power cycle the Ultra (and maybe even your router), and delete and re-install the WiiM home app to see if that helps.

I already did it. I even tried factory reset and nothing changed. I would like to comeback to a previous firmware. Is it possible?

Submit a ticket to WiiM so they can inspect your device logs for the root cause and ask them if you can be put back to an earlier version.

Sure it's not a problem with the WiiM Home app? Try installing an older version. With Android you can download an older APK through a quick Google search.
