I actually have roomfit enabled and it sounds good 🙀
Never liked it before but with eq enabled as well it sounds very good before it sounded thin and weak
Good job WiiM team👍

I've just read the 6 pages of comments on this new firmware update and I am somewhat confused.
Does it break anything that was working before?
Does it add anything worth having if RoomFit isn't important to me?

Does it update to the version number that Wiim have stated?

Thanks all....

Depends what you were using, I don’t use hdmi or external usb dacs
Mine plays music from Qobuz and Qobuz connect
Also it plays music from my attached usb drive so in my case nothing is broken

3xYES:)
1) Yes, it breaks the possibility of switching your FULL equlization via presets (e.g. via remote), as RoomFit setting can only be changed deep within the app,
2) Yes, it adds very useful separation between RoomFit and EQ (so you can have a base case RoomFit and than add EQ based on your current mood),
3) Yes, the version and date is reported exactly as per the CURRENT title of this tread .

Yes, but if you save (manually copy) the RoomFit profile as PEQ, the presets should still work as before.

Although the separate Roomfit and EQ is welcome I can't imagine ever needing to use it myself. I never used the tone controls on my Audiolab 8000a either.

Unfortunately now you cannot copy this to PEQ (already tried:)), you would need to do this fully manually (just write it down and then introduce all those data to the PEQ - some 100 values)... Moreover, all the RoomFit data is automatically removed from the PEQ and moved to RoomFit, so even the ones created before are not available for tweaking within PEQ. And most importantly - what is the sense of this? A new function that you have to bypass using some monkey tricks just to get the state it was before the upgrade, while it is ENOUGH to add two switches in the app?

The more I hear about this separate Roomfit and EQ the less I like it. Amp owners didn't even get a chance to try the beta and give feedback so we will just get what we are given, like it or lump it 🤔

No need to write it down. You can enter the data manually by looking at the screenshots.

I'm just talking about what can be done now. Please don't make a complaint against me..😅

Based on what the Team has replied to my questions in the past, it may be unlikely that RoomFit profiles will be incorporated into the presets at the moment. I suggest sending a request ticket.

No, generally the concept is great, there is just a small implementation issue...
I actually like it
I am actually using it when I didn’t in the past
Ran roomfit accept it then added my eq setting and it sounds good to me 👍

I am very very sorry if it sounded that I am attacking you - not at all, I very much appreciate your help! I am just a bit frustrated as the much welcome feature actually broke my entire routines due to some tiny UI problem. And in fact I cannot imagine any reason for the presets (or - for the record: outputs) do not include switch for RoomFit - it is not hardware limitation as the gear is perfectly capable of having this applied (I just must apply this manually instead of via pressing button on my remote). Btw: is it anyway to revert to previous firmware and stick to this? - because in fact I would opt for this...
