I could not connect the remote control to the Wiim Ultra device. Even though I followed all the instructions, the remote control does not connect. I did everything that needed to be done. Are you experiencing this problem?

Please try again.

Start pairing with the WiiM app, and when this screen appears, press and hold the "Input Switch" and "Mute" buttons on the remote at the same time.

If you already did everything that needs to be done then - by definition - there's nothing left you could do.

Did you insert batteries, for a start?

I did it. But it still doesn't work. At least 100 times. Maybe the remote control device is faulty.
Please talk to your dealer or try submitting a ticket through the "Settings > Feedback section" of the WiiM home app. If yours is defective, they will replace it immediately.

They wrote standard connection procedures, but it doesn't work.

Could you try pairing with the phone to see if the remote is broken?

  1. Open the phone's Bluetooth settings screen.
  2. Press and hold the remote's Input Switch and Mute buttons simultaneously for at least 2 seconds to enter pairing mode.
  3. On the phone's Bluetooth screen, search for available devices to connect to. When the WiiM remote appears in the list, tap it to pair.

If the phone and remote pair successfully, the remote is not broken.

I tryed but the remote is not working.Unfortunately, I do not have the opportunity to change the remote control since I bought it from another country. I live in Istanbul, Turkey

Maybe a stupid question but are the batteries ok and inserted correctly?

AAA batteries. Of course I installed them correctly and these are new unused batteries

If the remote turns out to be defective, the seller should still replace it (assuming you bought the Ultra new from a commercial vendor).

If for whatever reason that doesn't work out you could (worst case) just order just a new WiiM remote for less then 25 EUR (~925 TRY).

I bought a new Wiim Ultra, my remote control also fails to pair. I tried the procedure several times, even with batteries from two different manufacturers, it didn't work. I finally tried it with my mobile phone and tablet, they both found it as bluetooth device but gave "incorrect pin or passkey" error. I asked help from the customer support, they sent the same instructions, I tried and failed again. They finally said they would forward my problem to the engineers but I have not received any response for 6 days. I even sent a reminder mail but again, no response. Wiim's support is disappointing. Even if I bought a cheap Chinese product from Aliexpress, I could receive better support.

It is brand new, bought from a chain store but not from the country I live. I don't know if it is defective or not. Mobile phone and tablet finds it but cannot pair it saying "incorrect pin or passkey error". I cannot know what the problem is or cannot know the definition of this error; manufacturer is supposed to know it.

This is obviously not a common problem, otherwise you would have found more evidence.

Your legal contract is with the seller, not with the manufacturer. That's why I pointed you into this direction. If you didn't buy from a local seller, that doesn't make it easier, of course.

This forum is operated by WiiM, but it's mainly a community forum. We can still try to work out what's been happening here. In this case we need some more information.

What exactly did you try with your mobile phone and tablet? Your phone or tablet don't need a Bluetooth connection to your Ultra. The WiiM Home app - which I assume you did install - communicates with the device through your local network. The Ultra can either connect through Ethernet or Wi-Fi, but your mobile device will need a Wi-Fi connection. In fact, it cannot use Bluetooth to manage your Ultra. Does that work OK?

You can pair the hardware remote (which uses Bluetooth LE) at any time, not just during the initial setup. Just follow the instructions in the WiiM Home app step by step. The procedure is also described in the user manual. In case you did not download it yet, it can be found here:

It's possible (not too likely, but absolutely possible) that your physical remote is broken. To rule this out, let's figure out step by step what you did so far.

Furthermore, @WiiM Support is usually here to assist if you can provide your support ticket number.

Customer support replied my mail asking me to try it again after a factory reset. I followed their guide, made the factory reset, installed the application to my wife's phone, tried to pair it but it failed again.(Wiim Ultra and the mobile phone are connected to the same network) I am sure that this remote is defective. They said they checked the issue with Amazon Europe and unable to ship a replacement to Turkey. I also checked, Amazon Europe does accept order from Turkey. I have a friend who lives in Netherlands and frequently comes to Turkey, I asked them to ship the replacement remote to my friend. If they accept it, I will be able to get the remote.
I bought this device during my trip in Japan. A demo device was connected to a Denon amplifier and it convinced me to buy and install it to my second system (I bought a brand new package, not the demo unit in the store).
