WiiM Ultra + Vibelink dropouts

Hello!

Has anyone encountered the problem of sound disappearing on Vibelink? I am writing about Vibelink because I used Fosi V3 mono, later Yamaha A-S701 and there was no such problem. My problem is that the sound jams for about a second from time to time. The sound just fades - dropout. Sometimes it will play 3 songs without a problem, and sometimes during one song it drops 3-5 times. It's strange and difficult to grasp.

I tried on COAX and on RCA. Here and here it occurs. Is it a problem with electricity? With a power strip? I noticed that when Ultra and Vibelink lie on each other and I touch the housing, it slightly kicks the current. As if there was no grounding.

I reset the Ultra to factory settings, tried other cables, disconnected from Wi-Fi, reset the router and it still happens. I started to recognise it after connecting Vibelink. I have not noticed such a problem with other amplifiers before.

It seems that when connected with an optical cable instead of a coax, there is no such problem... why can this happen? The fault of the cable?

Also get constant dropouts from just an ultra when outputting over coax, especially when listening via the HDMI input though also during normal wifi streaming. Had to switch to analog outs which fixed it.

The only time I had coax dropouts was when one end of the cable had come a bit loose.
But I imagine you probably fiddled with the connections while investigating.

I have the same problem.
As mentioned in the post above yours, it's best to send feedback to WiiM from the WiiM Home app on your phone. Tab "More" => "Feedback".

You can describe your issue, add screenshots and your device logs will be sent along automatically. So, if there is anything technical to be found, WiiM engineers will be able to analyse it.

If you are looking for hints from the community here, it's best to describe your personal setup and boundary conditions in more detail. Rarely is "the same problem" really exactly the same. As you can tell from what's been posted in this thread, this is not a typical issue. Do you have any particular reason to not use the optical connection?

I have problem with Wiim Vibelink amp, during audio reproduction , i have continuos sound interruption of less than half second, and random tik.
The anomalies arise from 2 days , after 2 weeks of usage.

The vibelink is connected via coax to wiim ultra .
In order to understand which is the origin of the defect , i connected wiim ultra to a yamaha amp via coax and everything is ok , for sure the problem is in Vibelink Amp.

Can you help me

Did you connect the WiiM Ultra to the Vibelink Amp again since you tried the other amp?

Does the optical connection show the same behaviour?

Are you using the Ultra for volume control?

I had the same issues with the same 2 WiiM devices and finally connected them with optical cable; I gave feedback through the FeedBack in the WiiM Home Amp, but the proposed solutions did NOT resolve the issues with coaxial connection. So optical is 'interruption free', and coaxial is NOT with these devices!

I have my Ultra connected to my Vibelink via Coaxial connection, and don't have any issues or interruptions as described in this thread.

Try another coax maybe you have crappy cable. Ohhh I just got my vibe today using coax and there’s no problem. The soundstage is deeper which I like. I have Polk legend rated 4 ohms and vibe rated 200 watt at 4 ohms but the volume is not loud I am on 75 percent slider on ultra.

The anomaly i had occurred not immediately but 2 weeks later .
