i haven't noticed that until i read your comment and then..i switched back to VU meters (that weren't moving) and switched back and forth to "Original Signal" and they were moving again...so if I got this right, the new beta Spectrum analyzer switches to "Output Amplitude" display by default, and removes the option to switch between modes completely

Yes, there isn’t currently an option for the Audio Spectrum Display to use the Original Signal, but hopefully it will be added.

No revelation to add for this feature.
Installed it for 2 mins, then uninstalled it again.
Currently completely pointless when using the ultra for volume control.
And yet also when it's not...

My ultra is optical out to a vibelink.
There's no way I'm going to use the vibelink's volume dial (as nice as it is to use) instead of any of my tablet buttons, the remote, the ultra dial, the wiim app.

Let me know when it's on par with the RME

The spectrum analyzer should be connected to the original audio signal and not to the volume on the wiim ultra. This way for the majority of users who listen to the wiim ultra at 100% it is unusable. Add more colors and it would be great!

when we know the importance - usefulness of an element like an "overload" downstream of all signal processing ( if a logical possibility of "limiter off")...and that for ALL Wiims...not just to animate "the screen"...

At 100% volume it should actually show the same as the source (original audio signal), except any EQ or pre-gain.

It doesn't work at full volume, that is clear. It is expected to never go to 0 (dBFS) but may come close. Anything that is at zero may cause distortion.

There is clearly some work to do with the scale and the displayed values, before final release.

The scale should be from -90 dBFS to 0, with the correct logarithmic values.

dBFS=20*log10(volume/max volume)

The volume being the 24 or 32 sample value.

To be useful it should show output before any volume limiter kicks in!

Yes, I sent the tickets yesterday.
There are issues with forming and disbanding groups.

Also, I think it would be good to have a reset button on the profile edit screen.

Looks good! However, same as reported with the VU meter in this thread, anything above 16bit 44.1KHz makes the animation look choppy and low framerate (below 30 or even 20fps) while CD-quality looks good and smooth.
