How relevant is this to a switching mode power supply? And how does physical size translate to efficiency?

This is for a mains frequency transformer. I was only suggesting one reason why a 60Hz mains network might be more efficient than a 50Hz one. More efficient in terms of cost at least. The 4.44 isn't really magical just square root of 2 multiplied by Pi. Pi always turns up in these equations
