I’m counting on you! You and I are among the hardcore on rc.Have you got the firmware yet?
No not yet. I just went to get the app updated and noticed the difference.Have you got the firmware yet?
Let's see if WiiM respond to my question about firmware availability.No not yet. I just went to get the app updated and noticed the difference.
Generally, some features might require a beta version of the app alongside the beta firmware, others will not. It all depends.No not yet. I just went to get the app updated and noticed the difference.
The update was posted yesterday and should have already started rolling out to devices, here's the thread in case you haven't seen it yet: https://forum.wiimhome.com/threads/wiim-amp-firmware-v5-0-633164-update-oct-21-2024.5200/Where it says the firmware for the WiiM Amp is "Coming next week" is that this week (beginning 21/10). It sounds like it should have been released on Monday 21st but no sign of it yet. When it does arrive will it also include the latest updates from the recent official firmware update?
@WiiM Team @RyanWithWiim
Ah so is it included in the latest official firmware? I thought it would be in beta firmware.The update was posted yesterday and should have already started rolling out to devices, here's the thread in case you haven't seen it yet: https://forum.wiimhome.com/threads/wiim-amp-firmware-v5-0-633164-update-oct-21-2024.5200/
I just checked in and it looks like they're testing out another build first before it gets into the official version. I believe that build will be 5.2.632652 but I don't think it's gone out to everyone yet. I'll let you know if hear it's on the way (or Wiim Team can jump in if they get here first).Ah so is it included in the latest official firmware? I thought it would be in beta firmware.
I wouldn't expect a beta feature to go to everyone. We registered to test a beta and so far no beta firmware has arrived.I just checked in and it looks like they're testing out another build first before it gets into the official version. Beta and official don’t mixed together. If was released on official it would be noted on release note.I just checked in and it looks like they're testing out another build first before it gets into the official version. Just received 5.0.633341 so will test later. I noticed it isn't marked as beta so will be a pain to leave at a later date.Hi Team,
For Beta testers using WiiM Amp, we will whitelist your device for the Beta firmware either later today or early tomorrow. You can use the latest official app alongside this Beta firmware for testing. Last week, we released the Beta firmware with this feature for WiiM Ultra Beta users as well.
Let us know how it goes.Just received 5.0.633341 so will test later. I noticed it isn't marked as beta so will be a pain to leave at a later date.
Just tried it. It doesn't tell you which microphone it is using which I thought was strange. I used the iMM6. It plays a high tone followed by a gap then a mixture of tones another gap and finally a low tone. The automatic result was 8ms latency adjustment of the main speakers. My previous manual adjustment was 6ms latency adjustment of the subwoofer. I have no idea about the methodology behind the automatic setting or if the setting is correct or not. It sounds fine to me with both settings.Let us know how it goes.
Was the 8ms consistent if you run multiple sweep?Just tried it. It doesn't tell you which microphone it is using which I thought was strange. I used the iMM6. I knew you would ask that. Three times with the same result.Was the 8ms consistent if you run multiple sweep?
If you and others don’t find issue it may go to public release sooner.I knew you would ask that. Three times with the same result.
