LDAC used to be chargeable but Sony put it into Android a while back. I think you still need to tell them, get permission, that you have implemented that part of the stack but think it's 'free' after that. Not sure what the gateway to getting permission is like though.

My bad, I had picked up the fact that the encoder, was now in the android stack, so did not need licenses and assumed that was the whole story. I had not realised that the decoders still needed licenses.
