HDMI audio freezing up on Amp Ultra

For the last couple of days my Wiim Amp Ultra has been freezing up and losing audio on ARC HDMI input.

I’ve raised a support ticket in the app but I wondered if anyone has had this recently?

I’ll proceed on the assumption that you haven’t changed the TV’s HDMI settings. Unplug the power cords from both the TV and the WiiM, and disconnect the HDMI cable. Wait a few moments, then reconnect the HDMI cable and turn on the power. Whether this fixes the problem is a matter of luck.

Yes I have been having that issue today when I was re-watching shogun. This happened after the only time I left the amp ultra in standby over night. I spent the whole day rebooting it’s been really frustrating. The subtitles stopped showing up whilst watching the show even though they were on so had to reboot or when I paused there would be no sound so I had to reboot again. I am not saying that leaving it in standby is the issue but I have never had these problems before till then.
