iOS WiiM Home App v3.1.5 & Android v3.1.6 Update – March 11, 2025

(ps the " pregain" set to positive on the digital sources are really looking for trouble like peq etc)
It's extremely useful for sources with a known (too) low level. That's my take on it. :)

Might be dangerous for those who don't know what they are doing, but these people might not even find the feature. ;)

This is where the concept of "warning" is often useful....

("low level in digital".. tv?)

Exactly. And of course the digitised analogue input, where the actual level may be anything from very high to very low.
I didn't say it couldn't have a use... but warnings and an "overload" could still be useful ;-)

VU Meter Mode: Choose whether the VU Meter displays the original signal or output signal level (requires an upcoming firmware update).
I tried VuMeter mode. Not that much has changed. The needle almost always remains stuck to the right in both modes.
As I have said here and written many times to @WiiM Support and @WiiM Team they should put an attenuator via software, like the Topping D70Pro or Octo, which give the possibility to choose two different sensitivity levels.
Nothing has changed for me, because the changes require an upcoming firmware update, as mentioned in post #1 No 7.
Yes, and I've the new FW
Which version number is it?
5.2.709956 on my IPAD
That is the same version that I have, and it doesn't work because as mentioned above, it requires an upcoming firmware update. The version we both have predates the latest app version, so there is obviously a newer version expected to make this feature work.
