LMS server issues

I've had an issue with multiple incidents of my music folder on Lyrion Music server. I tried to delete the extra paths to no avail and have ended up uninstall/reinstalling the lms server software.

The server sees the player
And I can play stuff from the computer through the wiim ultra,
But the server doesn't come up
In the home app software
And can't browse to files to play them from the wiim side.

Does anyone know if there is a fix for this, or where I am going wrong?

You probably need to install the ancient upnp/DLNA media interface plugin in LMS. Why not just use the LMS user interface, it is far superior to the WiiM Home App?
 
Typically you’d use something like the LMS/Lyrion Material Skin plugin or a suitable Lyrion app to play from Lyrion to a WiiM device. It’s not usual to use the WiiM app to access Lyrion as a server although there is an unsupported and very limited plugin which makes the Lyrion library look like a UPNP server to the WiiM app, but I wouldn’t bother with that and instead stick to the Material Skin interface

There is a new hardware controller available - Roon-Knob - using a Waveshare Knob device. It is a round touch screen device with a rotatable ring that can be powered by battery or USB-C and has ESP32 inside. It even has a 3.5mm audio output socket. (I wonder if Squeezelite ESP32 would run on it...

Don't use the Wiim Home app to select music. Use one of the many LMS control apps that are available. On Android I use Squeezer. On a PC I use SqueezeLite or go directly to the server web page.

LMS doesn't appear in the Wiim home app.

Just use craig drummons LMS app problem solved
 
Note that the OP is ROM October 2025 and the issue is probably long solved in one way or the other.

The only thing new here is the link to the Roon Knob.
 
As above use the "material skin". It works really well on mobile browsers too. And always being updated too.
