Lost it

I recently dismantled my desktop system, and moved everything into my son's room temporarily whilst I decorated my office space.

When the time came to set up the stereo and move everything back again a week or so later, I discovered that I'd lost my Wiim Mini. I don't mean it's dropped off the network or anything, I mean it's gone. Vanished. It's a total mystery.

Anyone got any ideas where it might be, or had experience of them disappearing? Is this a common fault?

Sorry. It did come with a lot of baggage, but nothing akin to an Amazon remote.

We do, but I don't think he'd know how to download the app, so it'd be wasted on him.

Update: I've been advised to look into apporting and disapporting in poltergeist cases, and have come to the conclusion that the only possible explanation for the disappearance is a ghost.

The only other thing that's ever gone missing in the house (apart from a few socks) was a novelty yes/no speaking button keyring toy thing, which I can only assume the cheeky spirit must have fancied as a way of communicating with the living. They've obviously now decided they want to listen to some ghostly tunes, so they've snaffled my Wiim to use as a streaming source.

I'll be keeping a close eye on my speakers and amp, and will keep everyone posted with any developments.

Interesting theory. You think an alien civilisation might have taken my Wiim Mini for the purpose of reverse engineering? I can't bear the thought of it turning up in a field with it's entrails removed...
