More inputs please! And maybe a tape loop?

Another 1x digital and 1x analog inputs would be great!

While I'm at it, maybe a tape loop as well? ie a fixed volume output derived from the source input to go to a recording device, and a return that can be sent to the main outputs for monitoring in place of the source input. Does that make sense?

In other words, when monitoring from a recording device that's recording from the selected source input, the signal path would be: Source --> Fixed out; Recorder return --> Main output

Probably a niche application, but would be awesome!

Keeping the USB output is great with some internal storage option. Would like to make an upgrade from the WiiM Pro but would strong preference for a design to allow for external power options.

It appears there's growing evidence among audio manufacturers that many streaming devices may benefit from a LPS but apparently more so with the low-ripple battery type powered options. Thank you, WiiM!

I just dislike the fact how it's become fashionable to talk down plain anything, because "nobody needs that" or - even more disgusting - because "I don't need that and will look elsewhere if this is implemented".

A luxury airliner is equipped with every possible amenity: there’s a movie theater on the first floor, a swimming pool and a bar on the second, and a casino and a golf course on the third.
The captain's voice comes over the intercom:
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard our super-liner. The weather is perfect and the flight should be smooth."
Then, after a long, heavy sigh, he adds:
"And now, with all this crap on board, we’re going to try to take off!"

I don‘t think it‘s silly at all.
What isn‘t there can‘t break or even worse, compromise vital functions.

We are talking about consumer products. But many of the contributions on here are directed at turning WiiMs into hobbyist studio devices.
THIS is what‘s not helpful at all.

It's funny, though. I had a lot of tape recorders and amplifiers with loops in my time. And yet, I don't understand these "tales from the crypt" at all. If I ever revert to childhood, I'll use the right equipment.
