No settings related to external microphone

I don't have any settings related to external microphones in room correction settings (see attached screenshot). Do the settings only appear once you connect an external mic to your phone?

I fear it's not supported on Android (Pixel 9a)? I don't want so go out buying one, if that's the case.

The settings I'm looking for is visible in a screenshot on this FAQ article.

Yes you need to plug in an external mic before you see the option to import calibration files. It should work on a Pixel 9a, a UMIK-1 works on my Pixel 3a.
