Normal and expert Mode

I use my system together with my wife and we have totally different opinions about the systems. My wife just wants to play her music and is not the slightest bit interested in system configuration and parameter settings (that's why she married me - so I could to this stuff. ;-)).

It would be much easier for the users, if it is possible to switch in in the App between some kind of "expert mode" and "normal mode". In normal mode all kinds of options for system parameters and sound optimizing should be just not shown. The typical user just could play music. The possible "expert mode" will show the app exactly as it is.

What Do you think about that?

I'd like to see something like this. In my case, the distinction I would prefer is between a read-only/play-only mode, and the current behaviour.

i.e. family members known for accidentally fiddling with settings would use a view/mode where they could only select material to play, but not change settings, etc.

If you are talking about the WiiM Home App then I think the "favorite" page can be used or is that also too complicated?

What I think is missing in your case is a multi user interface where you can define not only different service users but also what to be available by default in the App.

You can raise a ticket to WiiM for a feature request.
