Presets 5-8 now available from the remote 2!

It hasn’t been mentioned in the app release notes, but apparently now quickly double-pressing buttons 1 to 4 on the remote starts presets 5 to 8 (at least on my Amp Ultra). This is absolutely great news — a highly anticipated feature that finally makes the presets truly usable. Many thanks to the Wiim Team for this!

They also mentioned that were working on: (i) more presets, (ii) a method to access more presets with # > 8 - maybe they would formally announce it in one bulk when fully ready? Btw: I was using this new feature extensively from yesterday and see no potential downsides of e.g. triple presses for 9-12 and 4x for 13-16 (beyond this point it would become too complex to count). Now such presses are recognized as just double presses. Anyway - even those double presses are great - now I can e.g. reserve presets 1-4 for inputs, setting, etc and 5-8 for current favorites. EDIT: And if there was an access to 9-12 those I could use for e.g. favorite radio stations - and everything would be clean and neat.

Yeh, I think it’s been mentioned before that if you have too many presets, you’d forget which was which unless you used the app

My app is still on 3.2.4 and it works without doing anything.

No new settings in the app - simply works. And as there had been no new firmware for Amp Ultra it seems to be added via recent app update (and was ready in the firmware already).

I don't think the phone app is involved at all when using the remote. I don't see how that should work.

The double click doesn't work on my Ultra yet. So properly just the AMP Ultra?

Apparently it only works with Amp Ultra and Remote 2 at the moment.

I am not sure what you mean, but WHA can identify Remote 1 and 2.

It probably doesn't matter.
This is my second Remote 2 connected to Amp pro.
