WiiM Home App v3.0.0 Update - Nov 8, 2024

Dark or black themes are not for beauty. Such themes save battery on devices with OLED display. And I liked it too, maybe I have bad taste.

It must only be in your company colors (green, black, white) and that is the best.
Maybe it will, one day? :)

I absolutely agree and still I think those asking for a light theme have a right to do so. It might not be for you or for me, but should be taken seriously.

What’s wrong with this? Legible, me thinks:

Are you using a larger display size on your Iphone?

This is the default size on my Android phone. 😄

In the dark mode, the visibility of the purple font is obviously not as good as it should be. Also, the color of the artist name on the device card is dark and the font size is small, so it will be assimilated if the background color is light.

This is not much of a problem when the phone screen is bright, but it becomes harder to see when the screen brightness is lowered.

In addition, comparing the in-play screen of the Amazon music app and WHA, there is a significant difference in the visibility of artist names.😄

Standard iPhone.

I’ve submitted a ticket regarding the bit depth and sample rate displayed from my Ultra. It’s not showing the source’s for opt and Ethernet in but a confused mix: CD over opt is shown as 24/44.1 and LMS 24/192 as 24/96. I have set opt out to 24/96.

I have not asked for input selection on the playing screen, but I think it’s as natural as having output selection there.

I like the dark theme. Purple/blue on black admittedly is not a high contrast pairing, but it shows fine on my Pixel 7.

Re: Persistent group support, this is dependent upon forthcoming firmware updates? Any forecast for those updates?

Why would it be "natural" to display the Output details on the "What's Playing"/Input screen??

The opening post says “next firmware update” so I’d expect it within a week or so.

Since the most recent WHA update (v3.0.0) my Amp and Pro Plus remotes are affecting the Group Volume rather than the individual volume of the device with which they are paired. This has not happened before and I can't help but think it is related to the forthcoming Persistent Group feature.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Is there a way to return to discreet control of individual devices when they are in a group?

If my memory serves me correctly, it has been so for some time.
However, my memory is not very reliable.
