Did you download the app off of Qobuz's site for your Mac? There's no Mac app in the Apple app store. I downloaded the one from Qobuz's site, but it either does not support Qobuz Connect or it's not finding my WiiM Ultra. My iPhone and iPad see each other as well as the WiiM Ultra. My Mac is not seeing anything but itself and Microsoft Teams Audio. They're all on the same eero mesh, so it's not an issue of the laptop connecting to the cable router's wifi instead.Do your iOS and Mac apps see each other as QC endpoints?
Nice to hear. Do I understand it correctly, that there is no need for the beta firmware on the Wiim Pro any more, the standard 4.8.714841 version support QC?And the Windows Qobuz app updated to support Qobuz Connect. Qobuz Connect available to my Wiim Pro and three HEOS devices. Currently, streaming 24bit 192KHz to a group of three HEOS devices.
Yes, that is the firmware on my Wiim Pro.Nice to hear. Do I understand it correctly, that there is no need for the beta firmware on the Wiim Pro any more, the standard 4.8.714841 version support QC?
The GA Ultra firmware update from April 29th added QC functionality. Or possibly the one before that. In any event, most WiiM stock firmware now supports Qobuz Connect -- just not on the Mini of course, but also not on at least a couple of other devices.Nice to hear. Someone at Qobuz Club noticed that v9.0.0.0 removed the ability to prevent streaming over mobile and/or WiFi data channels, which will be a serious problem for some folks. If that will impact you, I'd suggest you stay on the beta app as long as you can, with the risk that it may just stop working at some point. I'm hoping Qobuz will remediate that issue ASAP.is there any benefit of staying on the beta fw on the WiiM devices?
will it still receive updates with qc already available using the release fw?
i haven't switched back to the release fw on my Pro Plus yet
that is not a use case for me and i've already updated to v9.0.0.0.Someone at Qobuz Club noticed that v9.0.0.0 removed the ability to prevent streaming over mobile and/or WiFi data channels, which will be a serious problem for some folks. I don't know to what extent interoperability will be affected by beta vs. release firmware on WiiM devices
Are you still on the beta firmware? Got to device settings in the mobile app and at the bottom should be a leave beta optionOn my Mac desktop, I got a relaunch notice after a Qobuz app update.
In the Qobuz app, "About," it says:
JS version8.0.0-b009
Desktop version 8.0.0-b009 (Apple)
So I have Qobuz Connect! A Qobuz desktop app popup confirms I've been allowed in for QC
But sadly, I was rolled back to the 12/19/24 firmware.
Can someone tell me how I can get the firmware updated so I can try QC? Please.
A reset does not work as I've done it twice and I'm still on the rolled back Dec. 24 firmware.
I've tried reseting from the app and then also held the play button down for ten seconds with the white light flashing white and red. But on reboot and setting up, it still shows the old December 2024 firmware.
