Qobuz Qobuz Connect released

I experienced a small problem with QC streaming via Wifi on my Honor Android tablet. Sometimes, and randomly, the music stops and resumes after two or three seconds of silence. Not very often, but it happens and it's a bit annoying. I have a fiber line and have never had a lack of connection.

Do you ever experience this when using a different device as the controller?

Exactly. Unlike the apps, it’s possible to write chrome extensions to customize the web app to add features such as AI integration.

For example, there are many albums on Qobuz with no reviews at all, and there are no links to external reviews. With a Chrome extension and Gemini AI, we can add both...

I'm not seeing any Gemini content render on the Credits pop-up. Is that not yet slipstreamed into the extension?

I spent all yesterday evening steaming high resolution music from the Qobuz app on my iPad Pro via Qobuz Connect to the WiiM Pro. Not a glitch and it sounded excellent. One thing I’m not clear about is the relative pros and cons of using the Qobuz app vs the WiiM app, can anyone help?

For me, the main advantage of Qobuz Connect is that I only need to know this one app. No matter whether I'm on the move, for example with headphones on an airplane or at home. Everything always works the same. Even though the WiiM app is good, I find the Qobuz app better for listening to music and searching.
My wife wouldn't understand why she has to use a different app to listen to music at home than when she's out and about. She has never seen WiiM app, instead used Chromecast before QC.

QC is a great feature!

Thanks for the feedback. I tend to use album booklets as I listen mostly to classical music, so being able to cast directly from the Qobuz app is a real bonus. I’ve just signed up to the Roon 3 months for $10 deal though, so will see how things are at the end of that. Roon plays very nicely with the WiiM Pro.

Wondering when it's available on the regular playstore
I think Qobuz have said it’s being gradually rolled out, maybe initially to beta testers then members of the Qobuz Club, but I’m sure they’ll ramp up release as quickly as they can. I think the formal launch (rather than this “soft” launch) will happened at the Munich High End show so I’d expect wider availability by then.
