I see. So in effect you have the speakers and the sub wired in parallel to the WiiM Pro outputs. With passive monitor controller witch have volume control. It has 2 outputs, one is Genelec, the other is Subwoofer.
If it sounds good, it is good.Yes, I have connected them in parallel. Moving the Subwoofer affects its delay. SB-2000, not pro version. They sound good. Later I can post measurements of the frequency response.![]()
To be honest, from raw performance perspective your existing SVS SB-2000 (12" driver, -3dB at 19Hz) should actually be a better sub than the Genelec 7050 (8.5" driver, -6dB at 24Hz).View attachment 34721No need for a separate subwoofer output from WiiM![]()
I was thinking this same thing as well--integration is all well and good, but at the end of the day, the outright performance of the unit is what matters most with bass and, "real subs," are in a completely different league from that Genelec. To be honest, from raw performance perspective your existing SVS SB-2000 (12" driver, -3dB at 19Hz) should actually be a better sub than the Genelec 7050 (8.5" driver, -6dB at 24Hz).
Note that your SVS SB-2000 (non-Pro) also has a built-in high pass filter (12dB/oct at 80Hz) on the line outputs. The Genelec 7050 has a built-in high pass filter at 85Hz on the line outs.
You can still use the phase control of the sub to tweak the integration.Yes, I have connected them in parallel. Moving the Subwoofer affects its delay. SB-2000, not pro version. They sound good. Later I can post measurements of the frequency response.![]()
The subwoofer level is high relative to the speaker level, yes - though RoomFit is taking care of the level mismatch so you could just leave it as is.View attachment 34733
Some measurement. The subwoofer volume is about 3/10 in that measurement. Do I understand correctly if I still need to lower the subwoofer volume? The 8030 are the old A models, so they also have their own volume control.I'll have to look into it a bit more later. Thanks for the help.

If you are using its analog out then I wholeheartedly agree!Pro is starting to sound boring
I’m also using an external tube-based AD1865 DAC with the WiiM Pro, and the sound is to put it mildly at least two levels higher. So for me, an external DAC is a must. That said, the WiiM Pro is still worth its weight in gold for streaming and room correction. Cheers!I would like to return to this topic. Now that I have been listening for a while and have tried different settings, I can tell you that:
I think that my bass adjustment doesn't need to be very precise, because the measurement already shows that I have strong room reverberation at around 51hz-60hz.
Another point where I have a room echo problem is around 200hz. I understand very well that I would have to treat my listening space better with some bass traps and so on. (I don't live in a music studio).
However, measuring has helped me understand things like: My old Genelec 8030A speakers, (The Genelec 8030A was in production between years 2005 - 2013). They still work well, and there is no channel imbalance or anything.
WiiM measurements have given also me an idea of what kind of room reverberation problems I have. I have also managed to make the Genelec sound even better with the measurements, cuz I got those DIP switches to better positions to better respond to room echoes on Genelecs.
So I've achieved all this with this cheap WiiM pro streamer. I'm thinking next ahead; Pro is starting to sound boring, I have in mind the Fosi DAC, which has XLR connectors, and an option to rolling opamps. I can also fix the room echoes, little by little, and also get a better measurement microphone.
I think that, sun is shining to this purist from high. And so on, and and thank you All. Cya.
and, God bless,

I completely agree. Before I positioned the speakers and sub properly and then ran room correction, the sound wasn’t even close to good in fact, it was somewhat disappointing. But a good DAC still makes a difference. Whether it’s just a few percent or more, I’m not sure, but yeah.Honestly room treatment, positioning of subs, listening position, „roomfit callibration“ is 60% of the story, 30% is the listing material (how songs have been recorded) and 10% is the DAC - at least for me. For me the Pro DAC is already very very good. You might see it as „boring“, but psycho acoustics is another topic…![]()
For me, even high energy dance tracks are boring via a pro's analog output!
As Scissor Sisters said, 'I don't feel like dancin' when the old Joanna plays'.![]()
