By the way, I see your sub has a sensitivity setting for the auto on function, from the manual:

If the auto-function doesn’t switch
correctly, you can use the AUTO
LEVEL control (14) to increase the
sensitivity (turn to the right) or to
decrease it (turn to the left). You
will need a small screwdriver to do
this.
