I didn't think about the TV limitation. I use all of my ultras with tvs and really just want a display of whatever is streaming. I personally don't care to have any control through the TV.In that case, I would need an app inside the device, and as a result, I would need to connect a TV to each device and control each device individually?
I have two yamaha AVRs and that is already possible, but I need individual control for each device. To control multiple devices at the same time, I need a phone app...
We don't yet know what features the newly announced Apple TV app will have, but if simple device control is possible, it will be something that can work with multiple devices.
(In reality, however, it may be an app with player functions only, including Now Playing Screen display and preset selection, etc.)
Makes sense. Don't forget about us with Google and Android tvs...Hi antlestxp, team
Our team has evaluated the native HDMI output approach but feels it's not the optimal solution for our user base.
Firstly, none of our existing WiiM devices support HDMI out, so this feature wouldn’t be compatible with current products. Secondly, TVs typically have far more powerful graphics engines than audio devices, allowing for a significantly better user interface experience when rendering UI directly on the TV.
Hope that makes sense - happy to discuss further if you have any thoughts!
Hi Team, same in France… WiiM Home TV for Apple TV available but crashed right away… I think we ned to wait for update and maybe firmware update ;-) can’t waitView attachment 18764
Agreed, surely this is more logical rather then individual / unique apps per device?Still wondering why not just make s browser version. All the TV OSs support browsers.
And so do Linux, Mac and Windows.
A minimal Web page with now playing display should be possible on all browsers.
It’s all such a laughAs Pulp might have said, I don’t know why but they had to start it somewhere
I’m sure with enough pressure they’ll consider other versions…
Which browsers can:Agreed, surely this is more logical rather then individual / unique apps per device?
Hi Team,Which browsers can:
1. Work with remote (no mouse)
2. Appear full screen (hide address bar)
Hi there,So I just updated to the latest version of the Apple TV app. I thought that I would be able to play from it? It doesn't really do me any good because to play from my Ultra or Pro Plus I have to be on the input they are hooked up to on my receiver.
Is this how it's going to work?
Thanks for the quick response. It is nice to see the big album artwork. Looking forward to future updates.Hi there,
This early version includes limited features and is primarily designed for those who enjoy seeing large album artwork on the big screen.
More functionality is on the way! For now, content browsing isn’t available, so please continue using your mobile device as the main controller.
Thanks for your support and stay tuned for updates!
