Acquiring a WiiM Amp which will be driving Q Acoustic 3020i speakers.
Looking for an appropriate sub to match this setup. Any recommendations?
Thanks

Can you name a brand that is available (relatively inexpensively) in your country?

SVS is often mentioned in this forum, but it is not available in my country. I use Polk subwoofers.

Of course, the WiiM Sub Pro, which best matches the WiiM device, is worth considering 😄

I am in the UK. The Edifier T5 has had a few mentions as an option.

I have not listened the T5, but it is 8" woofer, so if you want more deeper bass, you may want to choose a 10" or larger sub. I think you also need to consider room size and volume. For that price range, the Polk suggested by @Krabin would be a good choice.

A couple of questions might help steer the suggestions - What will you be using this system for mostly, music or movies? And how big is the room this will be set up in?

Listening area approx 3.5x3 metres. Mostly music. Thanks.
I’m no expert on subs, but I did just do a ton of research on ‘budget’ boxes for myself. Pretty much any decent sub will give you loads more bass to support your speakers. Even an 8” ported sub will be a huge improvement, though it won’t go as low as a 10” or 12”. Given your room size, you can easily overpower it, so keep that in mind while shopping around. Consensus that I found while researching is that sealed box subs are generally better for music, while ported boxes tend to be more boomy and better for the deep affects in movies. Sealed boxes typically have a smaller footprint as well, since they don’t have to make room for ports. They’re also usually cheaper than ported boxes with the same size drivers. The trade off is they’re not as loud as ported boxes.

Looking at the BK web site, that new P10-150-GEM would give your music a nice bottom punch, and because it’s a sealed box, it won’t be ridiculously loud. Something along those lines should work nicely with the WiiM Amp and your speakers.

Thanks, some very helpful info.

Try emailing BK subwoofers, they would make a recommendation for your room and usage, i have done this in the past and found them very helpful.

They are indeed very helpful. I noticed a noticeable hum from mine after installing it. I phoned them and after diagnosing a DC offset on the mains they sent me a new mains lead incorporating a DC blocking filter free of charge. Problem solved.
