trigger with AVR

I have the Ultra. I hooked up the trigger port to the trigger port on my Yamaha AVR. But nothing is happening.
I do have the auto sensing turned on in the Wiim home app settings.
How can I get either the Wiim to turn on the AVR or the other way around?

You almost certainly can't. every AVR I have ever seen (doesnt mean there arent any that are different) only has a trigger OUT port. the wiim ultra also has only a trigger OUT port. For one of them to turn on the other, one of them would have to have a trigger IN port. without that you wont be able to turn on via trigger.
