I have my Ultra in my bedroom, great as an alarm clock etc and although I love the clock display most of the time, I'd rather have absolute pitch black at night time.

I've turned the display off entirely during standby mode which is great, but it'd be great if you can schedule a time when the display turns off for those of us sleeping in the same room as our Ultra.

Doesn't it have a light sensor to allow it to dim significantly at night?

Yes, but an 'off at night' option would be good. I'm extremely sensitive to light to the point where anything with a glowing light (power strips) etc has to be covered while I sleep...

If you set your standby time to show clock on standby and let the ultra go into standby on its own, then you can use the ultra remote to turn the wiim on then off to turn off screen with the remote control when needed.

Doesn't the remote on/off switch turn off the screen while the WiiM Ultra is displaying the clock in standby? Just one button press?

Hi 574stereo,

I think the screen display schedule feature can meet your requirements. We have added this feature to our to-do list and hope to release it next month, please stay tuned!

Warm Regards,
WiiM Support

No. If the Ultra is in standby, one button press turns it back on again. The second button press turns the ultra off and screen off.

I get it, having no light at night is important for good sleep. A schedule to turn off the screen would be so helpful. For now, maybe try covering the screen or using the remote trick until the new feature comes out. Can’t wait for the update.

See this is why I’m suggesting all my friends buy WiiM, this is great! Thanks!
