Not sure what you mean. Lossless usually is the understanding that the signal/information will not change. Obviously it will change with the usage of PEQ. But that is maybe better for your loudspeakers/room…

Does he mean bit perfect? Lossless or lossy will depend on the source material.
PEQ will interfere with the digital signal and thus will not be bit perfect.

Maybe it will appear when the Ultra is released.

Yup it was promised for 22 June then the roadmap changed to 30th and still nothing. It's like when a train is late and the arrival time shown on the screen at the station just increases by a minute at a time until it finally arrives.
Wiim skills on firmware is top notch like no other company can match. They gave us features that was great such as bit perfect, peq, eq, balanced and rc. Their product evolves through firmware with feature. The area of improvement would be their target date on roadmap and communicate with forum for any delay.

Will preamp be added to the PEQ? A user directed me to lowering the volume limiter by 1 percent for every .6 db, but it would be cool to be able to independently set the value and save to each profile. I have several headphones. Also, has anyone independently measured the accuracy of the PEQ curve?

Awesome. Plex integration feature will make me buy a WiiM so exciting it is coming. I'll wait until it is confirmed to be working properly however so unfortunately will not be able to beta test or anything like that.
Below are not deal breakers but just curious if certain cool features/info from plexamp GUI will be shown on the WiiM Ultra display or not:
In order of importance for me imo:
- Waveform
- Song rating info
- DJ mode info symbol
We got update that doesn’t include the feature. It was updated that nobody was interested.

Plexamp has the waveform if you set up analysis for the library
That's definitely Plexamp
standard on the mobile app, which is super intuitive and a nicely polished piece of software overall. I've been a big fan for about 3 years now and I'm still using a separate Raspberry Pi running Plexamp headless in my setup currently. Can't wait for the integration with WiiM Waveform appears if you enable loudness analysis AFAIK. Not a plex pass feature neither I believe.
There is also sonic analysis which is a plex pass feature and enables some various other cool features (similar artists, radio and dj mixes...)

oh wow. never used plexamp for some reason... have had a plex pass for ages but only ever used it for video management back in the day.That's definitely Plexamp
