I'd got rid of all my cassettes years ago. But each month I get a new one from the subscription. So I started buying cassettes as physical media where available. It's surprising how many new releases you can get, especially from bandcamp, bundled with flacs for the same price.
I have a decent cassette deck on my main system and this in my kitchen on the fridge (another mini into the aux)

I like a good sound as much as anyone but I'm certainly no audiophile, I'm a music lover. A great sounding system can impress me. But no matter how many £££s I spend on amps, speakers and dacs; no high Res 24/192 digital file has ever blown my mind the way "Hunter and the Hunted" (Simple Minds) or "Like a Hurricane" (Neil Young) did when I heard them for the first time, as a teenager, on cassette.
All that said 19 times out of 20 I'll play digital files from my server coz I'm lazy
