What speakers are you using?

Buchardt has awesome looking speakers in my opinion.

But something with grills on with little kids in the house seems safer 😂
Magnetic grills are included in the delivery... I'm in love with them every day when I walk past them

I have been planing to replace my monitor audio with p300, but kinda want test them first, and i dont think thats possible without buying them.

Wiim Amp with Dali Opticon M2 bookshelves on Kudos S6 stands, amp is bottom left of rack, Rel T Zero(s) behind the Klipsch floor standers, I just use one for the Wiim. Like others have said, love my speakers! 🔊

Don't bother come with a money back warranty?

Did you also look into the Radiant Acoustics Clarity 6.2?

I didn't think anything could part me from my LS50 Meta with Lyngdorf BW-2 subs until I demoed these ...

As of today I'm running 2 Wiim Amps. The 1st I bought on Black Friday for system 2 with the tv and use mid 80s Arcam Two Plus.

Today I added the 2nd amp to the main rig as a sort of system 1a, to save leccy and hours on my valve amp when casual listening. This time it's feeding a pair of Heco Direkt Dreiklang.
Despite the epic miss match (speakers are 35x the ££s of the amp) with the RC engaged the amp sounds awesome, punching waaaaay beyond its price.

Ha- I see you have an 845 amp too, those valves radiate, same reason I bought a Wiim amp, keep the valves fresh and the bills low

There are quite a few threads about speakers.

I thought I'd start one in the group where members can say what speakers they're using and maybe what their experiences are.

I mean every single WiiM Amp owner needs to use speakers.🤣

Maybe this will be a good database for the future and reduce the number of people asking for advice etc.

Now it's your turn.

While I don't support this, it's not a massive surprise when people might buy them once every 20 years...
Why would you not support DIY which can offer superior performance vs commercial brands and for much less money? Nelson Pass knows this and builds his own. He's very active on the diyaudio forum and has given me some great advice. My next project will be his slot loaded open baffles. I'll try and post the plans for them.

Do you believe that most people on this forum buy only one pair of speakers over a course of 20 years?

DIY speaker builders know the cost of drivers, crossover components, and cabinetry. Buying new from the local high end shop seems ludicrous because we know those Vifas cost $40 and Morel tweeters sell for $35. Connect it to $10 worth of caps and wrap the 3/8" particle board in a decent veneer and price it at $1000. I often wish I didn't know what was in those nice veneered boxes.

That would be me. I bought my last speakers in 2003 🤣. You are right though, there aren't many parts in a speaker.
Me too. I bought two new pairs this year but the previous ones (still in use for my AVR) were purchased over 20 years ago!

On this forum no, but in the public? absolutely yes.

The customer speaker project looks really cool, please do keep us posted!

A rear view of Nelson Pass's slot loaded open baffle ( SLOB ). The full range drivers are Lowther field coils but there are several less expensive drivers that work well in this design. Every year Nelson holds an amp camp and a couple of years ago all the campers built their own SLOBs.

I started this hifi lark in 1975. Originally had Wharfedale Lintons, which were replaced with KEF Q3's in 2000.

I was going to upgrade them, but the WiiM Pro and room correction has improved things so much I'm not so sure I need to now. :)
