Why don't newly added albums appear when browsing my Logitech Media Server (LMS) share using WiiM app?

Hey gurus,

I have a WiiM Ultra (connected via ethernet if that's relevant) and when I browse to my LMS Music folder, I can see all of the ripped CDs I placed on there initially.

However, I've since added some more CDs, but they don't show in the app.

They were ripped using the same method (DBPoweramp) and are still in FLAC format, but the album folder is just not visible.

This is not just a single album issue either, there are several that I've added that just don't show,

But…if I browse via my Emby app (I use Emby as my film and tv streamer), the new albums are there.

The issue there, is that I can only cast from whatever device I’m using to the WiiM, rather than having the WiiM stream directly across the network from LMS (these are all full FLAC copies of our CD library).

All help gratefully received.

NB-I have logged in to the LMS web GUI and done a manual refresh, but it didn’t make any difference.

Can you see the new albums when you use the LMS web GUI? Have you done a "New and changed" scan in LMS?

What do you mean by browsing your LMS Music folder? What are you using to browse - the WiiM app or an LMS client like its Material interface?
 
ensure each directory has one file in it , jpg, specific naming if I recall- cover.jpg, front.jpg, or something like that

Also use album art downloader feature, it'll automatically download album art for missing covers

Seems to work for me as it seems to update cache

Thanks, but the issue is not that the artwork isn’t there, it’s that I can’t see the new albums I’ve added.

I use the WiiM app on iOS.

I select Browse>Home Music Share, then select my LMS share.

From there, I can see the whole library that was created initially, but not the new albums I’ve added since.

Check albumsort or albumsort tag isn't used, it throws it elseware.

Can you find it under search? (even with the two tags above it is found)

That’s worthy of a bug report I’d guess. Looks like it’s maybe caching the share contents when it’s first set up but there doesn’tseem to be a means of refreshing it. I would have thought the mere act of browsing at a folder level should have forced a refresh.
 
Have you done a full rescan?

Or maybe if you're willing just set index to dir of the new albums only and see what happens.

If your tags use those "sort" type it puts them somewhere else in your library, if they're different ie

Artist - Stone Roses
Artistsort - The Stone Roses
Album - Greatest Hits
Albumsort - The Greatest Hits

It'll put them under "T" instead.

I’ve done several scans, new albums are still not showing up.
