Yes there is no that function unfortunately. I don't use the original remote control at all, only the TV remote control. That's why i'm asking about that.I don’t see anything suggesting that it can control the steps on a non-WiiM remote.

I don't think WiiM have any control here, it's fully up to the TV.Volume adjustment step - is only for remote control? What about TV remote via the HDMI ARC? 0-100 with step 1 is very uncomfortable to tap 100 times on tv remote!!!
I understand you, but it's also uncomfortable. This "step" function is only available on remote control of wiim ultra, but I would also like to see this adjustment function for the remote control (HDMI ARC) of TV.What happens on your tv remote if you just keep holding the volume button?
Your tv remote would need to have that feature as the tv is using HDMI cec to control the volume.Yes there is no that function unfortunately. I don't use the original remote control at all, only the TV remote control. That's why i'm asking about that.
Yes, i know that. But its possible to change the volume on wiim by one signal from tv via hdmi arc. This is easy to do that by changing the software of wiim like it was made for the wiim remote control.Your tv remote would need to have that feature as the tv is using HDMI cec to control the volume.
This would seem at odds with comment #42 aboveYes, i know that. But its possible to change the volume on wiim by one signal from tv via hdmi arc. This is easy to do that by changing the software of wiim like it was made for the wiim remote control.
No. You just dont understand. Now i can change volume with step 5 by remote wiim control, step 3 in iphone app and step 1 with tv remote... this is very strange. May be its better to add option changing steps for the all controls (remote, tv, app)? This would seem at odds with comment #42 above
WiiM can control what its remote does, I don’t see how it could control what the tv remote does. The WiiM app already has the means of adjusting volume in increments of one by tapping on its volume bar. I don’t know if it can regulate what Android or iOS does, although that would seem more feasible than changing what the tv remote does.No. You just dont understand. The signal from the TV is just a signal from the TV, but in the wiim there could be a function to change the volume by 1-5 steps from this one signal. There is no that for the TV remote, but it could be like it is done for the original remote (the step which changes in the wiim application).WiiM can control what its remote does, I don’t see how it could control what the tv remote does. Do you mean your WiiM device volume increases in steps of one in step with your tv remote? ThxI don't think WiiM have any control here, it's fully up to the TV.
With my TV volume control has always happend in steps of 1, even before this firmware update.
Yes. I know that this is normal behavior, but why not 5, or change that step amount in the app for the tv remote? This is my question.Do you mean your WiiM device volume increases in steps of one in step with your tv remote? Thx
Because the TV remote does not control the WiiM Amp. It still just controls the TV. Volume setting through the TV remoter works different from the WiiM remote.Yes. I know that this is normal behavior, but why not 5, or change that step amount in the app for the tv remote? This is my question.
Well, it's the HDMI ARC audio signal through pins 14 and 19 and HDMI CEC control commands through pin 13.The signal from the TV is just a signal from the TV ...
Yeah, I had no luck googling for hdmi cec volume increments or similar. I’d still wonder how they’d keep the tv volume display and the WiiM volume in step unless they both used the same increments.Because the TV remote does not control the WiiM Amp. It still just controls the TV. Volume setting through the TV remoter works different from the WiiM remote.

I did a little more reading and it looks like the HDMI standard does specify the op code for "user control pressed" and either the parameter "volume up" or "volume down", but it does not specify exactly how the receiving device should react to that command sequence. So, I will take back my previous comment and warily state that WiiM might be able to interfere with their software at this point.
However, I have no idea how this is implemented in real live TVs and the standard seems to be very loosely specified, so WiiM might have decided to not try and alter anything coming from the TV. Nothing is e.g. keeping the TV from sending 2x "volume up" for one physical button press. Keeping the button pressed should continue to send "volume up" or "volume down" commands. If your TV does not this is just one more example of how inaccurate the specs or their implementation by TV manufacturers really is.
Send feedback through the WiiM Home app and ask them directly if they could extend this feature to HDMI vol up and vol down commands.
