WiiM Ultra Firmware v5.2.704152 - Jan 10, 2025

The smart presets is a great idea, I need it to turn off fixed audio to enable to use headphones, which would be my main use of this feature, is it known if this is planned?
That was one of the first things I asked for when I beta tested smart presets some months ago but it’s not in the first public release. I’d raise a ticket direct to WiiM via the app more/feedback section asking them to include that ASAP.

Done

Yeah definitely easily reproducible on my end too. As soon Wiim goes into standby, the 12V out trigger turns off the USB DAC, the DAC turns off which signals Wiim that the USB device went offline, which in turn moves Wiim out of standby and re-triggers 12V. And that turns the USB DAC back on...loop continues
Beta firmware (5.2.704461) seems to have fixed this issue. At least from my immediate and brief testing.

Whitelisted users because of Google Cast issues always must wait around 5-6 days more to get the updates  Still waiting for new firmware
I'm afraid you won't be receiving updates until you ask to be removed from the whitelist.
That's what i did at the expense of losing the Google Cast.

That isn't what others have reported. They still get updates but later than updates of the official firmware.
This is from WiiM Customer Support:

Thank you for your feedback.

Yes, you have been added to the special whitelist, which prevents updates from being performed. If you wish to update, you can choose to exit the whitelist.

Which whitelist was that? Others are reporting continued delayed updates with the older Chromecast version.

I reported being only able to Chromecast Qobuz in CD quality from the Qobuz app. They whitelisted my Ultra for an older (not official number) FW version and Qobuz Chromecast worked properly again. The reality is i was using Qobuz mostly from WiiM Home app, and now I also ditched Qobuz for Tidal as I was testing both. So I asked to be removed from the whitelist and started receiving regular updates.
I like Tidal's features and interface better (very similar sound wise), Tidal Connect works as advertised.

Well other users are allegedly receiving updates.

How do we enable / configure pre-gain for local USB / Ethernet input?
Device settings (the cog ⚙️ icon) => Audio Input => expand section Pre-Gain by tapping on the arrow icon to the right => adjust the first slider.

The slider might be tagged either Either yet or Wi-Fi and should apply to USB, too.

Sorry. My bad... I wanted to ask for REPLAY GAIN and not pre-gain...

Browse/home music share/ three dot menu/replaygain. However, not all devices may have the firmware to support it yet.
Thank you. I'll try it later. My WiiM Ultra has been updated yesterday to this firmware (v5.2.704152 - Jan 10, 2025), which states it supports it. :)

With this firmware update there is an issue with the Ultra display if following another WiiM device (link or group).

The display shortly displays the "Follow" screen and then change to "No music playing". After the timeout period the Ultra display change to standby. The Ultra do however continue to play what is on the "master" device.

Has anyone noticed that?

Update: This don't seem to be consistent behaviour. Sometimes it works as expected.
