Please review theWiiM Amp Pro update release notes below. If you encounter any issues, feel free to reach out to us. This firmware update is being rolled out in stages, with devices updating sequentially over the next few days.

5.2.707244 (In Progress)

Release date:

02 / 11 / 2025

What's New:
  1. Simultaneous USB and Sub Output: Enjoy simultaneous USB and subwoofer output for an enhanced audio experience.
  2. Persistent Group Support: Enhanced quick selection and synchronization for multi-room audio across devices.
  3. Per-Source Group Audio Delay: Now allows adjustment of the group audio delay for each input source (requires upcoming app update).
  4. Replay Gain Enhancements: Replay Gain now supported for USB, NAS, Samba, TIDAL, Qobuz, Plex and local libraries.
  5. Remote Volume Step Customization: Adjust the volume step for each press of the remote’s volume buttons.
  6. Preset Enhancements: Presets will now function correctly when your device is used in slave mode.

Bug Fixes:
  1. Remote Pairing: Resolved issues preventing WiiM Remote from connecting to devices.
  2. USB Indexing: Fixed unexpected interruptions during USB scans.
  3. Playback Enhancements: Fixed playback status after seeking, resolved artwork issues via Google Cast, and added sample rate/bit depth display on Alexa.
  4. General Fixes: Various performance improvements and bug fixes.

Was it intentional that the status LED is darker after the update? (Doesn't really matter, just noticed it).

Where/how can I adjust the volume level (remote control) or does this still need to be integrated into the app?

You all are smokin' right now! Wow, that opens up some options, fantastic.

PS: Could you buy Sonos?

Why?? Why would WiiM PAY to take on someone else's MESS
There’s little overlap between their respective hardware and partnership could be complimentary…Sonos hardware is excellent, its software needs the help and WiiM excels there. They don’t really compete with each other now either, different markets. They would take share from Denon, Klipsch, Polk, Sony

Many of streamers that are expensive has excellent hardware but lacking of skills on software. Software first before hardware.

Not so fast. At least for me, a streamer is a gateway device to receive quality audio streams. It may have the best control software in the world but fails roundly if the stream is poor quality.

Can this high end can get firmware update to give you rc for free? What about adding peq or geq via firmware update? All I have been seeing their software updates are just bug fix.

Let me clarify… WiiM has good hardware and great software.

Hardware-wise the Ultra USB out to a good DAC is a very good streamer.

Software-wise? DSP, PEQ, RC are fine but not for me. Certainly not on my main system which does not need any digital processing. But if you need those, they are there and they work.

Horses for courses.

True, you can use them if you need them but you can turn them off if you did not like them or the result. Atlist there’s a choice than no choice at all.

Have you measured the frequency response of your system in your room and found it to be perfectly smooth with no bass peaks caused by room interaction or are you just happy with the sound?

My ears are the ultimate sensor for me, but yes I have checked a spectrum analysis of the system/room and that confirmed what I knew by hearing.

After this update volume at 1 (on 0 to 100 scale) is too loud! Please restore old volume bahavior, I need more precision on low volume

Edit: after changing Volume Limit to 60-75% works as expected
