@Golana,
Did I say something to upset you?
🙂🤔
Sorry, NO! it's not because of you....

I'm just upset about the WiiM firmware.
Everytime a new firmware is released it's full of bugs or unlogic functions... I'm a bit pissed about that company. Bought 3 devices in the last 3 months and my new hobby is now to understand the settings , to download firmware and read that forum...
I just wanted a product to hear music with....

Untrue and Unfair. Especially since over these "past 3 months" WiiM has been quieter than usual with only 2 Releases for the Ultra.
The WiiM Operating System (Audio Devices and Home App) is Feature Rich and Complex. Just like your first Smart Phone, Smart TV, and New Car, it takes a while to get used to your WiiM Environment.
(It doesn't help that you "leapt into the deep-end" - trying to make sense of HDMI-CEC... That is a true mess, not just for WiiM but for any combo of HDMI-enabled Devices.)

It does not get any simpler than the Wiim software. Try using Heos on a Marantz or Denon. Now that is an app worth complaining about!

Fair comment from my perspective though I can't say if the competition is any better on software stability. For example, on my WiiM Ultra my firmware was set back 6 months to fix a Chromecast not working on the then current firmware release. Makes one wonder about WiiM's the quality of WiiM's QA testing process.

Having a situation with "unexpected max volume issues" could lead to equipment damage. Not a good thing at all.

@Golana, if you tell us what you are using your WiiM we can provide you with usage tips. I have two WiiMs (Pro Plus and Ultra) that are set up for one button music playback using the WiiM remote.

IMHO WiiM should use their existing BETA firmware distribution mechanism, with apparently reliable update AND revert capabilities, to convert their occasional 'false starts' into Release Candidates with a bit more promotion than "public beta". When a RC build is deemed stable, call it "Official" and update the masses.

The trick of getting the reliable build is tantamount of course, but this feels like a more transparent release process... I know that many of the folks who frequent this board, given earlier access, would've caught some things in the recent updates I've seen:cool:.

Thanks ! I can *finally* turn off the screen on HDMI so it doesn't distract from the movie 😁

No update available on my side…
Welcome to the forums!

Firmware updates are rolled out in stages (not just by WiiM, btw.), so not everybody is receiving them at the same time.

Yes it's great, but the screen remain off after the WAU goes in standby mode! Why is it not possible to show the selected standby screen clock after using the e.g. hdmi audio?

Because the implementation of this new "feature" is flawed. It should of course have been a blank Playback Screen and not a special input settings depending option that is active all the time (WiiM in active or standby mode).

Anyone tested the new auto amp pro/sub pro alignment?

Is the sub/main sync done using the mic at the listening position (phone or calibrated mic)?
The old way of doing it used a mic built into the amp...

Still no SoundCloud scrub/skipp long tracks....all other competition can do it.
