WiiM Amp Ultra

Depends upon what you are after... To me this is a AMP that is focused on stereo output, over surround. Why have an HDMI ARC input when the best you can get out of your sound is 2.1?
Because there are some like me who watch tv and are more than happy with 2.1 and the (admittedly dubious for some) benefits of an HDMI connection. HDMI use doesn’t equate to 5.1 use.

Same here.

I bought the WiiM Amp Pro precisely because it was one of the very few affordable yet well-designed 2-channel streaming amps with HDMI ARC input, PEQ and bass management.

The HDMI ARC input is IMHO super-convenient when using TV as a source!
I know some people have issues with it, but it has been working almost perfectly for me. Much more seamless than the optical connection, at least with my TV.

I think you should be looking at products elsewhere. Judging by the above, I really don't think that you're on the WiiM wavelength.
What is the WiiM wavelength? Are you suggesting that I shouldn't contemplate using WiiM products? I would have thought that if you are pro Wiim you would be more helpful in general discussions. Other people have put in reasonable use cases... They make good sense...

My sincere apologies if you find my post unhelpful, but having reread your recent posting on the subject, I'll have to reiterate what I said.

Anyway, I hope you eventually achieve your objectives.:)
